We are asking Woodstock City Council to free up funds in order to create shelter for abused and unwanted animals within Oxford County and provide funding for Veterinarian's to spay and neuter said animals. We the undersigned are aware of a huge need for these poor helpless animals to be helped. The OSPCA is on overload with the amount of work load for our county and something needs to be done. These poor defenseless animals can't speak for themselves. We also ask your help in petitioning the provincial government in releasing extra funds to have more trained officers for our county.
The OSPCA is currently operating beyond their capacity and these animals are the ones paying the price. Call the Woodstock City Council office today to demand they prioritize funding for a new shelter and spay clinic. Post the petition link on your Facebook wall so we can keep the pressure on our local leaders.

The local shelter is overflowing and they clearly need more resources. It is heartbreaking seeing so many strays roaming around Woodstock because people cant afford the vet bills.

FIX THIS NOW. stop ignoring the animals that need our help most. spaying costs are way to high for the average person and this would help cut down on the stray population.
