This petition, effective as of the later of the dates of signature below, is between the City of Oviedo (“City”), and the citizens of Oviedo (“Citizens”). The term recyclables refers to any object that can be recycled.
Citizens are
engaging city in a petition for a proactive recycling plan to be instituted
between the City and the County of Seminole.
The proactive recycling plan refers, and is not limited to, any of the following:
1) City organizes with Seminole County to make recycling bins available to gated communities. The current online recycle bin request form does not include these communities.
2) City of Oviedo surveys Citizens to identify residents who would like a recycle bin be brought to their place of residence.
3) City establishes a collection site for recyclables. The closest current recyclable drop-off is a twenty minute drive away.
4) City schools are encouraged to further educate students about recycling. This can include activities to teach how to save energy as well as reduce unnecessary refuse.
This petition is governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to principles of conflict of law, and may be executed by facsimile and simultaneously in multiple counterparts.

Living in a gated community and having to haul my plastics all the way out to the county site is a joke. Just give us bins already.
