I think it's ridiculous to give tickets to cars left overnight in parking lots of bars in Oakville (or anywhere) especially after a Friday or Saturday night. The most problematic place is the parking lot outside the The Kings Arms (323 Church Street, Oakville)

There are many things the city can do to ensure people don't drink and drive to avoid overnight parking tickets. (Ex: bar staff can call in a number to let city know license plates of cars that need to be left overnight in parking lot). Much easier to manage and will reduce stress for the owners, security and staff for the establishment as they can be held responsible for the safety of their customers

I know some will say 'you should've taken an Uber!'. It does happen that you plan on having one drink and end up having more than a breathalyzer would allow behind the wheel.

I think this petition is important and everyone should participate. Hopefully our voices will be loud enough to eliminate this frustrating situation.
