Please help Rocky Mountain Nursery School and our district 8 neighbors reopen Peixotto Park!
Our non-profit preschool, Rocky Mountain Nursery School, has been serving families for over 50 years in the Peixotto (pronounced Pa-show-toe) Clubhouse (15th & Beaver Streets), leasing the space from SF Recreation & Park Department for over half a century.
On December 31, 2022, during the massive rain storm that impacted the Bay Area, there was a rock slide at Peixotto Playground.
The rock slide resulted in SF Rec & Park closing the area to the public and we’ve had to relocate our school temporarily out of District 8.
In our absence, the park has fallen into disrepair including graffiti, and unsafe activity due to a lack of community presence. If Peixotto continues to go unfixed, the park will continue to fall into further disrepair and the problems will intensify. Please help Rocky Mountain and all our neighbors open Peixotto Park! Thank you!

I live on Beaver street and have a six year old. The playground was like our backyard for the years before the rockslide. Please find a way to repair the area and help reopen the peixotto Rocky Mountain school!
Rocky Mountain is a treasure, and its location has been a big part of that! The Peixotto Clubhouse and park should be repaired immediately so that Rocky Mountain can return there as soon as possible.
Continuing the tradition of Rocky Mountain Nursery School is important to the fabric of our City. Please prioritize repairs so that the school can return to its home.
Please get this work done, so a beloved preschool can move back to its home. Additionally, the neighborhood needs this park. Do not let it fall into disrepair.
Let’s get the kids back to experience the magic of Peixotto, just as they have been doing for 75 years!

This park makes for a fairytale come true kind of experience for small humans & adults alike. Please reopen it so the torch can continue to be passed down from family to family.
