Your Excellency–
As you are certainly aware, the Orange County Board of supervisors and many of the OC Unified School Districts as well as other public-school districts around the state of California are contemplating a vote to require a Covid-19 vaccination for students to attend in-person classes. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has publicly acknowledged that they are considering a state-wide vaccine mandate for students who qualify.
The Diocese has to date complied with the CDPH mask mandate on students in Catholic schools and has publicly taken the position that it is required to do so because it is a public health mandate.
As parents of Catholic School students in Orange County, we would like to invite you to a public discussion about vaccine mandates from the CDPH or other authorities, and how the Diocese would direct Catholic schools in Orange County to respond to these mandates. The Covid-19 pandemic and the response from our schools impacts the safety and health of our children, and we believe it deserves an open dialogue with you and the Diocese to understand how you plan to protect them. Public school parents have been able to voice their views to their school boards; we deserve the same consideration from our Diocesan schools in Orange County.

We just hit 100 signatures and the Diocese can no longer pretend we are invisible. Bishop Vann needs to stop hiding behind bureaucrats and start answering to the parents whose children he is putting at risk.

Just had a dad in my office whos 15yr old daughter just got the shot, her heart rate has been 160 for a couple of weeks, sore knees, gets winded, more time and data is needed before they give it to every child. Thank you, Ken
Coercion does not equate to consent. The diocese should not be imposing these mandates not only because you are taking away freedom If choice (something that God has given us) and these vaccines use fetal cells of aborted babies which is completely against catholic teachings.
Please allow us to make our own choice! This is against everything I have been raised as a Catholic! My children have had terrible dangerous reactions including difficulty breathing and high fevers of of up to 104.9 uncontrollable for hours.
We love our school and the Catholic education our children receive however we will be withdrawing them should this mandate go through. It breaks my heart at the thought however we will not be forced to put something in our children’s bodies we are not comfortable with.
I am animately opposed to complying with your he Governor’s mandate to vaccinate school age children and adolescents. As out Shepherd, I implore you to protect your flock from wolves disguised as politicians.
Vax are scam harmful
My 2 sons (16 and 14) have attended Catholic school their whole lives. We will NOT be vaccinating our children. We are against this mandate!

My kids have been going to Catholic school since they were 4, they are now 7 and almost 9. I am so sad that I might have to pull them from a school that we love and homeschool because of these insane mandates! Research the real science and you will see our kids are not at risk!
