Opposing Development at 11333 Dufferin (Rizmi Lands) and subdivision file 19T-18V004
We have serious concerns about the development at 11333 Dufferin in terms of compatibility of lot sizes (most of the current lot sizes in Maplewood Ravines are at least 60-80 feet wide), the lack of school sites, having a sizable park/playground which is centrally located in the subdivision, storm water management issues, transportation issues, other measures to ensure consistency with the surrounding area. Due to these concerns, we oppose the development noted in the draft plan of subdivision file 19T-18V004 and oppose the Zoning Bylaw Amendment File Z.18.004 to amend Zoning By-law 1-88.

I really never pictured so many people feeling this same frustration when I first sat down to write this draft because it felt so lonely at the start. It is strange how things shift once you see those comments rolling in and realize the neighborhood truly cares about keeping our streets from becoming a total mess of traffic and overcrowding.

This project is too congested and places our wildlife within the Oak Ridges Moraine in at risk. We are strongly opposed to this development.
Opposed. This application and proposal is premature. There needs to be improvements made to roads (widening on Dufferin and Kirby, extension of teston road to Keele) and public transportation system in place to service this additional population.
Opposed to this development, our area is already congested as it is and traffic volume keeps increasing at an alarming rate. Our politicians and regulators need to plan with keeping the area like it was originally intended when it began developing 20 years ago. Let's keep protecting the environment for generations to come and not ruin it now!
Strongly opposed. The present infrastructure in this area cannot even accommodate for the existing development (traffic, schools, playgrounds, etc). How can The City of Vaughan even fathom that this development is even possible?? What if The City Of Vaughan thought about taking care of their existing residents? I strongly oppose the development of new houses of any kind in this area. This is the last piece of green belt heritage land that still remains untouched. This will create ecological catastrophe that can lead to infestations and infections. Is this what the city wants to deal with it? Everything is being ruined with the constructions. Whoever who wants this project approved is thinking? Few several years the City of Vaughan confirmed that this land will remain untouchable due to green belt, why this has been changed so quickly? Again, the development will have a negative effect from ecological and ethical perspective.
