THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. BECUASE OF YOUR STRENGTH AND SUPPORT, THE APPLICATION WAS DEFEATED AT THE LUCB MEETING. HOWEVER, THE DEVELOPER HAS FILED AN APPEAL OF THE LUCB DECISON AND WILL BE HEARD AT THE SHELBY COUNTY COMMISION MEETING. THE DATES AND TIMES ARE AS BELOW.

We the residents and property owners in the Irene Neighborhood, strongly oppose the proposed application for Major Modification by Shelby Equity Partners LP for the property known as Forest Creek PD, Area 1 West.
After several conversations and meetings with the developers to promote a compromise, the developer refused to entertain any of the requests for a reduction in density or larger lot sizes.
Our opposition to the Developer’s current plan is based upon compatibility with nearby single-family developments and the overall character of the proposal. Specifically, the developer has stated he will not go below 100 lots. The proposed 100-lot development will create a development that is unrealistic in market value and quality. The proposal not compatible or in character with the surrounding single-family developments.
The developer claims that no other uses will go in this location are insultingly false. We strongly urge you to join us in this effort to defeat this proposal.
