We, the abutters of 333 Maverick Street, vehemently OPPOSE the requested variance for an additional, 4th floor be added to the property.
If allowed, this project would set a dangerous precedent for height allowance in this section of housing on Maverick Street and negatively impact our living space, sun light exposure and ultimately our property values.
We ask the Zoning Board take this into consideration and REJECT their application for this variance.

The charm of East Boston is its close-knit community and beautiful landscape. If we allow more and more builders to swallow every possible inch of East Boston for money, we will eventually lose our identity as the beautiful community of East Boston.

I am all for renovating aging buildings in East Boston but I see no need to add an additional floor whereby negatively impacting abutting neighbors.
The charm of East Boston is its close-knit community and beautiful landscape. If we allow more and more builders to swallow every possible inch of East Boston for money, we will eventually lose our identity as the beautiful community of East Boston.
