We the undersigned homeowners of Currituck and Dare Counties are asking the Board of Commissioners to open to Guests as soon as possible. Currituck County previously announced an opening date of May 15th, if not sooner. Many of us worked with our Guests to change reservations to reflect that date. We are all doing our best to work with the County but the rental industry is suffering and we need to open up. Thousands of dollars are being lost and many are in danger of losing everything. Please honor your previously announced date and open the beaches by May 15th, if not sooner. Thank You

Social distancing is completely doable and washing your hands and not touching your face. This is what should be advocated instead of isolation. Solitary confinement is not a reasonable approach.

My rental income is how I pay my property taxes and keep the lights on. We have been closed long enough and May 15 is plenty of time to get everything ready for visitors safely.
