Community members are horrified that Omaha would permit an out of state developer with questionable practices and disturbing reviews to infiltrate our neighborhood with open arms.

Elmington LLC plans to build a 210-unit apartment complex at 56th and Kansas Ave, a neighborhood that mainly consist of 3-4 bedroom single family homes. This project would create congestion in an area that's already saturated. There is an apartment building just across from the intended site as well as a recent build of another apartment complex less than a half mile away. This project would generate more traffic on a roadway that has been deemed hazardous by the Public Works Department.

The community finds it despicable how the City pushes through projects with very little regard in how it will effect residents and neighborhoods. By the time residents are informed the project is already well underway. The notification process must allow more consideration for residence who's lives will be severely impacted. This should also include the wildlife where this planned building site is a refuge.

The Omaha City Council has the authority and responsibility to stop this mistake before it goes any further.
