Vehicular traffic in this section of West Bay Street is particularly dangerous and lethal. Speeds are reached up to 60 miles per hour on the straight stretch which then goes quickly into a turn, a rise and then a rapid drop in the road. The curve and change in elevation obscure line of sight both ways of all oncoming traffic, and at the same time the road narrows. These road conditions and excessive speed are the cause of numerous accidents and deaths on this stretch of road.
The area in which speed calming needs to be actively addressed is a quarter mile section where there is the presence of a local resident driveways entering into the main road.
We recommend the use of lit ‘SLOW’ signs at each end of the quarter mile section along with speed calming bumps at the ends and in the middle of this stretch of road. Example of which are below.

I was looking at the screen and realized how much this has grown and I honestly just had to stop and breathe for a second because it is wild to see so many people caring about that dangerous curve. It really hits home that I am not just imagining the speeders flying past my own driveway while I worry about what might happen next.

Crossing the street and pulling out of my yard is such a difficult and dangerous task due to the speeding traffic.
The increase in traffic will have a big impact on the area and will make properties directly on the road very unsafe to exit and enter. The air quality caused by pollution will also have considerable impact.
please Install speed bumps on the road for safety.

Its way too fast out there. People treat West Bay like a race track. My kids play near here and Im terrified to let them outside.
