Thanks for letting us know the office concerns regarding the weekly football match. I understand that from time to time is good to review the expenses in order to purge whatever is no longer useful.

But I think the information you have regarding the football game use is not correct. Currently we are a constant group of 51 persons and eventually some other join us when they are available, all ZHA staff. Games are a minimum of 5 a side, that means 10 players overall per game. Lately we have so many people willing to play that we had to limit that number to 12 so we can have some good games but we have an average of 14 people interested on playing per week. Also due to the office workload we are never the same 12, so I would say we are around 30 who attend on a regular basis.

In addition, I would like to highlight the fact that Matthew Johnston’s personal membership to the Finsbury Sports Centre offsets the offices annual expense by £260.

In the name of the football group and following Matts and the above arguments I would like to ask you to strongly reconsider the current decision.
