Petitioning the New Zealand Air Force to land helicopters in Savaii so that the children of Savaii may see a helicopter for the first time in their lives. Marie Tiatia a 12 year old from Lalomalava Primary School has written a letter of request to the New Zealand High Commissioner to give them the same treatment the NZ Air Force gives the chilren of Upolu. The helicopters have landed in schools in Upolu and Marie feels the children of Savaii deserve to see helicopters too. The Helicopters will be in Samoa in May-June 2012 and will be opportune time for the landing to take place.
The New Zealand Air Force thinks they can ignore the children of Savaii while they fly right over them to visit Upolu. I am currently digging for answers on why they believe some Samoan children are more deserving of this experience than others. Do not let them sweep this blatant inequality under the rug.

The kids out in Savaii miss out on so much compared to Upolu. It would be such a huge deal for them to see one up close.
