The bylaws of the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association were last revised in 2020. This year, NYTHA formed a committee to examine the bylaws and recommend changes, which now have been reviewed by the NYTHA Board.

The next step in the process requires the Association to affirm the changes by a petition of not less than 75 of its members.

We, the undersigned, approve of the plan of the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association to amend its current bylaws to maintain compliance with New York not-for-profit law.

The NYTHA By-Laws Committee chaired by Rick Schosberg did an excellent job in balancing all interests and developing the proposed By-Laws.

Amendments clear up conflicts I felt were not understood when speaking with owners associated with other thoroughbreds. Thank you
