For the past 27 years all of the New Jersey Nursing Homes have been getting $35.00 monrhly for there personal needs allowance.Residents that have to live or reside in nursing homes within New Jersey are feeling it the worst.And the residents need that personal needs allowance for gifts to there granddaughters,there kids, there wifesm, and to themselves and look good for you when you visit.Let's raise to $55.00 monthly so that would be a increase of $20.00.

The personal stories shared by residents regarding the lack of funds for basic necessities are both heartbreaking and motivating. I am currently preparing correspondence for state officials to outline why the current allowance is insufficient for modern living expenses.

35 dollars is nothing. You can barely buy basic toiletries with that let alone a birthday card for a grandkid. These people deserve some dignity.
My mom is in a home and it breaks my heart she cant even afford a magazine. Increase this allowance!!
