New York State disability payments have not been raised in over 20years!! It currently caps out at $170.00 a week,which is below minimun wage, and is then taxed!!!You pay insurance premiums for this! Your employer pays insurance premiums for this! Then you receive squat! I wrote to our politicians about this and received no reply. (They don't want to upset the insurance companies, I guess). We need to do something about this. I worked for thirty years, paying this stupid premium, then I had a heart attack and I couldn't pay my rent, yet people that never worked a day in their life get everything for free. It is an insult to the working, tax-paying folks and needs to be fixed. Join me in making noise!! Sign below!
