The Rhode Island Chapter of ABC, it's members, associates, individuals and business partners, who together represent 78% of the Rhode Island construction industry workforce, strongly oppose the mis-named Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) and EFCA proposed pieces of legislation. Any EFCA law would erode the ability of small construction businesses to survive and prosper. EFCA legislation strips our rights to maintain a free business environment and limits our ability to grow our businesses. During the current economic downturn, it has become increasingly apparent that our elected officials must be made more accountable to all taxpayers. They represent ALL of their constituents; not just special interest groups and organized labor!
