I have been spending so much time on the phone trying to get someone in those Bakersfield offices to actually pick up and talk to me instead of just sending me to voicemail again. It is frustrating honestly because workers here deserve a real conversation about their futures and why these protections actually matter for families trying to get by.

I was just staring at the screen in complete disbelief because I really thought this would just stay between me and a few friends but here we are with so much momentum that it feels like the whole city is finally listening. It is honestly overwhelming to see this kind of energy building up since I truly did not expect anyone besides my neighbors to care about these local labor conditions.

its about time our reps started listening to the people actually doing the work around here instead of just big donors.
Bakersfield needs better pay. Everyone is working so hard but still struggling to pay rent. Enough is enough.

Fair wages are long overdue. Corporations here have too much power and it needs to change now.
