No new taxes on business and commuters. No government bribes to coerce travellers onto inconvenient and expensive public transport. The Workplace Parking Levy would be a very inconvenient administrative nightmare for businesses. Besides the direct tax paid to the council, there would be other costs. Even small businesses exempt from the levy would still have to register all their parking spaces, and notify the council if they removed spaces or created new ones, or even if they changed the use of their own parking.
