We the undersigned wholeheartedly reject the recent petition to the SD Game, Fish, and Parks Commission that would limit non-resident trappers to a 28 day trapping season. We feel the season should end on the same day for all trappers, residents and non-residents alike.

My family has walked these trap lines for generations and I refuse to let outsiders be pushed out by these unfair restrictions. We are nearly at two hundred and fifty signatures so please send the link to your hunting partners right now to get us over the hump.

Seeing one hundred people sign this shows I am not the only one frustrated by these proposed rules. My family has trapped these lands for decades and it means a lot to see this kind of support for fair access.

stop trying to regulate everything. if they pay their fees they get the same season. simple.
my husband comes out every year to trap. he follows the rules just like everyone else. why change it now?
FAIR IS FAIR. Same rules for everyone no exceptions.
Leave it as is. The resource is there for everyone who buys a license. Total non sense to cut it short.
Ridiculous proposal. We spend good money here and should be treated same as locals. Leave the season alone.

Been trapping SD for a decade and never had an issue. This just punishes people who travel to be here.
