Chattahoochee Valley residents against changing Standing Boy WMA. We as Hunters are losing our rights everyday. We do not want to lose Standing Boy WMA. Many of us don't have anywhere else to hunt. Many of us have hunted here with our parents/grandparents. We were taught how to hunt here and would like to teach our next generation here. There are fewer places to hunt every year. We want our voices heard and our opinions taken into consideration. We are a large number of the population and as of now only have a very small area to hunt.

I have finalized the formal grievance letter regarding the Standing Boy WMA land management plans. This document is currently being delivered to the regional directors to ensure our position is officially entered into their records. I will provide a summary of their response once a meeting is confirmed.

We pay taxes and some of don't have money to go into a hunting lease. Please let us, as a community keep this bit of land to share with our kids
Keep standing boy creek a WMA. Public hunting opertunities are already very limited, turning SBC WMA into a state park would further limit the opertunity to access public hunting lands.
Help keep public hunting land open. Closing one wma will just make other more crowded or either push people away form the sport.
Closing this wma that is so close to Columbus will essentially take away some peoples ability and way of teaching our kids about nature and the southern way of life. It's really sad this is even being entertained as a possibility!
I have been hunting here for the last 5 years. I love that it's in town and it's great for a quick afternoon hunt after work.
Please leave Standing Boy as it is. It is close to home and I really don't have anywhere else to go.

Keep standingboy the way it is... It's great for hunters like me who have limitive access to land to hunt and a Even better that it's archery only for the ones who love bow hunting and don't won't to have to worry about rifles going off all around you while your trying to bow hunt...
