The Horton Fish & Game Club would like to push forward the movement to reinstate the hunting and trapping rights at the Atchison County Lake. There have been no previous issues in the past to warrant the shutdown of these rights for the general public. The Atchison County Lake offers hunting and trapping opportunities for the local sportsman, who may not have hunting rights elsewhere. Many hunters and trappers have lost rights to previous locations due to the leasing of locations they once hunted and trapped. Atchison County Lake is a great place to take a beginning sportsman and youth. The Horton Fish & Game Club's mission is to promote outdoor activities and promote positive youth involvement in the outdoors.

My grandpa took me out there when I was a kid. It is a shame they shut it down for no good reason. Let us hunt where we always have.
