I have been spending my time lately reaching out to local conservation groups to discuss the data regarding spawning cycles. The silence from the department is frustrating but I am not stopping here because we deserve more time on these waters.

Seeing this much energy behind the idea of extending our season is incredibly validating for those of us who spend our winters staring at frozen gear. It feels like the tide is finally turning toward a more sensible approach to how we manage our home waters.

makes absolute sense to open early. keep the money in WI.
My husband would love this. He misses the water in the fall.
Sick of driving to MN just to fish for trout.
LET US FISH! The season is way to short as it is.
September is way to early to stop. Some of the best days are in oct.
