Dear Chief Minister of Goa,
We the citizens of Panaji appeal to you to make NoMoZo (Non Motorized Zone) on the 18th June road a permanent feature of our city. We the citizens of Panaji- individuals, residents, traders, business enterprises, visitors, tourists, shoppers, etc make this appeal to you as NoMoZo has given us the opportunity to experience 18th June Road as a completely people, pedestrian and cycle friendly and shopping friendly street which is otherwise congested with on street parking, parking violations, traffic chaos and unsafe atmosphere to senior citizens, shoppers, tourists, residents, traders and employees working in the area. We also appeal to you to support NoMoZo with the following supplementary services:
1. A good executive city bus system within the central business area as well as the rest of the city so that we can minimise the use of our private vehicles and use a new comfortable and convenient city bus system.
2. Designate parking lots outside the central business area
3. Provide parking for residents along 18th June Road who do not have provision within their complex, along the side roads
4. Allow access of goods, supplies and other services to traders and business establishments along the 18th June Road
5. Provide facilities and easy access to senior citizens, residents and differently abled people.
6. Provide level pavements and road crossings
7. High parking fees in the central business area but concessions to residents of the area.
Looking forward to your positive support to us,
Yours sincerely,
The citizens of Panaji
The feedback from business owners and residents highlights a shared desire for a street that prioritizes people over traffic. I am currently working to organize a meeting with local officials to discuss how we can balance these community needs with long-term infrastructure improvements.

Seeing the momentum continue to build around the future of 18th June Road is a quiet reminder that our community values a more livable city. This groundswell of support suggests a shared vision for a space that prioritizes people over congestion. We are now preparing to take these ideas to the decision makers who hold the key to this change.

Good idea but we really need the bus system to work first. cant leave the car at home if there is no way to get to work on time.
