The board has officially confirmed that the administration offices will not be relocated into Monsignor Clair. While this brings a quiet relief to our community I encourage everyone to remain observant regarding future facility planning. Thank you for staying committed to the safety of our children throughout this process.

Dear Ministry of Education officers, SMCDSB officials, Elected School Board Trustees, City of Barrie officials: We, the undersigned, agree that the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board should not be allowed to relocate their offices into the top floor of Monsignor Clair Catholic Elementary School. We feel that in doing so it poses a number of significant safety concerns for the children attending the school and would negatively affect the Monsignor Clair community. We sign this petition because we care about the children, the school and the community and feel they will be permanently and negatively impacted by this change.

STOP TRYING TO SQUEEZE OFFICES INTO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. FOCUS ON THE STUDENTS FIRST FOR ONCE.

This is a terrible idea. Mixing office staff and random strangers with little kids when there is plenty of other space in barrie makes zero sense.

Keep our schools for the kids. Why are they taking space away from classrooms to put board offices in there? Ridiculous.

safety for the children should be the number one priority. putting adults who dont work at the school in the same building is asking for trouble.

The hallways are crowded enough as it is. Adding more people to the building is just creating a huge headache for teachers and parents.
