We support the idea of providing quality accommodation for higher education students in Chester provided this does not involve the destruction of greenbelt or environmentally fragile land. Our ethos is, and will always be, to value Chester’s greenbelt and to object to any intrusion into it unless absolutely necessary. If we allow our greenbelt to be concreted over, areas of brownfield land will continue to remain local eyesores. We are campaigning to protect our greenbelt from those developers who insist on employing contrived and specious schemes to obtain planning permission. This and other greenbelt land in Chester will be lost to future generations forever, if we don’t make a stand.
The momentum behind this petition highlights a collective commitment to preserving our local environment. It is clear that the community prioritizes the protection of the greenbelt over unnecessary development on protected land.

Please save our fields. We need places to walk and breathe not more concrete blocks.

Sort out the brownfield sites first. Why is that always the last option when there is so much derelict land sitting there rotting.

Ridiculous decision. There are plenty of empty buildings in town that need doing up instead of ruining the countryside.

Keep our green spaces for the kids. Once you build over it you can never get that land back. Leave the greenbelt alone.

So tired of all these developers just wanting to make a quick buck by destroying the natural beauty of Chester. Enough is enough.
