We, the undersigned, object to the building of houses on school playing fields and on the green fields of Chapel-en-le-Frith. We appeal to High Peak Borough Council to develop housing proposals which are based on the real need, and which are sympathetic to our town and countryside.
I spent the afternoon walking the perimeter of these fields and thinking about how much our town depends on this open space for our children. The council has remained quiet so far but I am currently drafting a formal inquiry to demand clarity on their long term plans for this land.

Seeing this kind of momentum on our petition confirms that our town truly values these green spaces as much as I do. It is clear that the people of Chapel-en-le-Frith refuse to watch our fields disappear under concrete without a fight.

Enough is enough. The roads cant even handle the traffic now without more houses being dumped here.

Build on the brownfield sites first. Leave the fields alone. Totally wrong to take this away from the community.

Ridiculous. Where are the kids supposed to play? Stop building on every single bit of grass we have left.

Keep our green fields green! We have enough building going on already. Our town is losing its character fast.

Very sad to see this happening to our lovely town. Please save the fields before they are gone forever.
