The university registrar has officially confirmed that tuition fees will be waived for students during their internship semesters. I am currently reviewing the new documentation to ensure this policy is implemented correctly for all cohorts. Our objective is fulfilled.

Yes, finally someone did it.
I'm going to keep this simple. We all know architecture is an expensive course. Its sad enough that we have to burn a big hole in out parents' wallets to get through these 5 years.
During our 4th year when we do our internship, neither do we attend classes in our college nor write exams.
Why exactly do we have to pay our entire college fee when we don't even come to college for two semesters? The fee amounts to 40000- 1.5 lakhs, which is quite a huge sum to pay for nearly nothing. Seems unfair right?
So let's all do this for each other and for future archies. Let's help AU take some smart decisions to prevent student riots in the future regarding the same matter.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of signatures and requested a formal meeting to discuss fee restructuring. I am currently preparing the documentation to present our case for an internship tuition waiver.

It's not just 40000-1.5L, some students pay much more for architecture courses and not coming for the classes during the 5th year and paying the fees is like paying the movie ticket and not going for the movie. So please pass the to making 5th year's first two semesters a no tuition fee semesters.
this is a very expensive course . during our 4th yr as we have internship we are going to college only for our reviews. so why do we have to pay our full fee amount during this period. in kerala already this issue hav been noticed and they are taking steps accordingly. we also hope for the same.
already we are spending money for taking prinouts in shemes and model making in final crit.... all thses along with tution fee... economically low people we find difficult to pay tution fee during internship also.... stop this....
Plz do waive college fee for B.Arch students during internship period!! We payfor all college facilities during intern sem and also have to pay for accommodation, travel and food at our intern places. It's a lot of economical stress on us. I hope our opinions are valued.
Ya its unfair that we pay fees... If its for the design viva and for monitoring us throughout the year.. Then we can pay it as semester fee... Paying whole year's fees is totally unfair.
This is totally unfair!

This doesn't make sense. I'm asked to pay 2,50,000 rupees for my 5th year which i wont be doing in college any way. On top of that, I will have to spend anew for internship , say food, traveling, and so on.
