Protect Saratoga’s Heritage, Natural Beauty, Health, Safety, and Property Value

Rejected by Cupertino, San Jose, Palo Alto, and Los Altos, wireless carriers are finding the city door wide open in Saratoga. There are 7 new wireless cell towers proposals by Verizon in Saratoga this year already.

• Three on Prospect Road (City Council hearing on 8/19)
• One next to Saratoga High School (City Council hearing on 9/16)
• Three in South Saratoga

And more will come into our neighborhood. The next one could be on your street, next to your backyard, and on top of your school playground.

They also come with power generators and large fuel tanks, introducing substantial safety hazards to our neighborhood.

We, as Saratoga residents, have to stand together and do something, to protect our beautiful natural environment, our kids, our health and our property value. We propose to amend the city wireless tower ordinance to require a 300 foot setback from homes and schools.
