We, the undersigned, strongly oppose any wireless communication facility installations (e.g., towers, antennas, emergency generators, etc.) in any schools of Cupertino Unified School District and Fremont Unified High School District, for the following reasons:

1. Negative Health Impacts: The World Health Organization classifies the cell tower radiation in the same category as lead and DDT. Our kids will be exposed 6—10 hours per day at school;

2. Public Safety: The height of the tower exceeds the city regulation, bringing great risk in earthquakes/strong winds, and once it caught on fire, it is hard to put it out and debris are easy to fall off the high tower.

3. Explosive Hazards: Verizon will also mount a new 30KW diesel generator with a 132-gallon diesel fuel tank, presenting a variety of explosive and toxic hazards;

4. Lease is Not Transparent: public does not have right to set up lease terms. Cell company may add antennas, increase exposure, renew lease without informing anymore.

My child studies at Lynbrook and I am very concerned. I was not aware of the fact that there are already 3 towers and our children are exposed to highest levels of radiations.Having 3 towers already doesn't justify adding the 4th cell tower.

With milions of dollars from property tax measures, why does FUHSD/CUSD need to allow the cell tower installation for such tiny amount of money? What's the benefit to the students and community?

school is for education, not for business, it should be business and hazard free. please, NO HAZARDS, NO BUSINESS in School. To make the school district better and better, please don't put the Cell Towers in School campus.

Why are we exposing our children to radio frequency which has been shown to increase risks to people, especially young children? Shame on the city council if they approve this tower. You already did a disservice to the children by installing one years ago. Who knows what risks our students have taken as a result. Stop this new request by verizon NOW!!

Our kids safety is highest priority for us as well as for the schools. We can't compromise it under any circumstances. We don't want our kids to be treated as guinea pigs as we are not sure about radiation effects. In addition there are other hazards of having such big structure near our kids, e.g, earthquake, explosion etc. No cell tower at any school of CUSD and of FUHSD..

This book talks about how scientific research shows that people who live or work within 500 feet of a tower report genetic, growth and reproductive effects and an increased risk of cancer: http://www.amazon.com/An-Electronic-Silent-Spring-Creating/dp/1938685083

It's just not one tower - our Lynbrook High already has several antennas- no more of these.

We should not allow cell towers in any of the schools in US. Our children are priceless.
