The developers at Westoning are hoping we will just go away if they ignore us long enough. I am currently spending every spare hour digging into their planning application to expose the ways they are violating our own village strategy. Do not let their silence fool you into thinking this fight is over.

Putting up this many houses in a very crowded part of the village shouldn't even be on the cards. The chosen location isn't safe also as it's on a blind bend and in my opinion building anywhere near Park Road should be instantly vetoed.
Disgusted by the growth of this village. Traffic increased dramatically already. Not enough shops, not enough doctors! Work in local school and the school doesn't have the land to grow so means squeezing more children into existing buildings.
the pavement where this development is planned, is very thin and not adaquate. this leading into the village, with cars only slowing down before hitting 30mph zone, on a bend, 80 new houses with children. im sure you can see where this is going. green belt will turn to red belt as it becomes an accident hotspot
This development is on green belt land & is disproportionate to the size of the village. The school cannot be enlarged & can only accommodate another 30 pupils. This development of 80 homes is too large & will have a detrimental impact on the village & no obvious benefits.
I understand the need for housing, though this should not be considered without understanding that, 1) the school cannot expand, 2) the roads in and surrounding the village are already congested, 3)the local shop & butchers would need expanding. The village infrastructure as it is cannot support this expansion
Stop destroying Green Belt land
Westoning cannot support this size of development and it will destroy the green belt that supports so many protected animals
