The Town of Islip is proposing a Poultry Slaughter House at Route 111 and Beaver Dam Rd Islip, NY 11751.
An area already crowded with businesses and traffic in a short distance radius. The combination of pollution, chemicals and substances from other businesses right across of that property such as Auto Body Repair Shops (with paint and related chemicals), Auto Mechanic Repairs Shops (with oil, grease, fuels), Gas Stations (with soil contaminations and fuels), Laundromats (with detergents), Rifle Range (lead and noise), Cookie Factory, Asphalt Storage Plant, Granite and Marble Facility, Private Residences. This new proposed plant is simply wrong and against the health of all residents!
This mixture of traffic and contamination will create extremely unhealthy and harmful conditions that will pollute the water and air. It will congest traffic, incrementing the risk of accidents in an already very busy road and will destroy the quality of life bringing delinquency to a safe neighborhood.
This proposed plant belongs in an industrial/factory designated area away from Islip resident’s and homes.

Definity against having a slaughter house in our town. we moved to Islip because it is a nice neighborhood to raise our son not to be next to pollution, chemicals and not to mention the smell
