WE WON!! THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALLY REVERSED THE FUNDING CUTS AND OUR SCHOOL BUDGETS ARE SAFE!! THANK YOU FOR STAYING LOUD AND REFUSING TO BACK DOWN BECAUSE THIS VICTORY IS ENTIRELY YOURS!!
We, the undersigned, call upon the Government not to implement its proposed cuts to schools funding, which will reduce East Riding schools budgets by £14.9m in real terms by 2019, meaning an 8% cut in pupil funding, equivalent to 400 Teachers' jobs.
You should be helping these schools that are performing so well. I feel really lucky that my children attend a superb East Riding School. Do not make them struggle as it will make it more difficult to carry on the good work.

The East Riding have suffered poor funding for years, being in the bottom four. This new formula was going to correct this unfair imbalance. Pupils in Beverley don't deserve this.

No matter how the funds are shuffled around the country there is not enough for a growing school population. It is a con. There's no magic in this circle!

Signing on behalf of Hull and East Riding to object to these savage cuts which will mean larger class sizes and reduced curriculum offers for all students. No to unnecessary Free Schools. Yes to MORE funding for existing schools.

When building hundreds of new houses around the town, now is the time to spending MORE on schools, not less. I for one would be HAPPY TO PAY MORE INCOME TAX to fund growth in education (and NHS) as well. And, for the record, I am a LIFELONG CONSERVATIVE!!

Save our schools, more houses continue to be built hence more children at these schools if anything funding should be increased, why do our children have to suffer when our neighbouring county's already have a higher funding per child ratio?, surely every child/school should be treated alike???

Fully support this petition. Grammar schools are not the answer. More funding for local schools to deliver a well rounded education has to be a priority!

Education is the foundation of our children's lives and future. This is not an area to be looking for cuts, especially as we are already so far down the international league table.
