Fully support this petition. Grammar schools are not the answer. More funding for local schools to deliver a well rounded education has to be a priority!

Education is the foundation of our children's lives and future. This is not an area to be looking for cuts, especially as we are already so far down the international league table.

Britain's future depends on an educated, well-informed and highly energised workforce.

The existing funding for schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire is already poor and there are proposals to cut it further? Yet schools in neighbouring Hull have huge amounts of money thrown at them, state of the art facilities, schools rebuilt and replaced after only 10 years yet they still turn out appalling results and any parent in Hull who cares about their child's education will try and get them into the already overwhelmed East Riding schools. Does common sense exist anywhere in national government. This is the future of our children and the future of this country.

You should be helping these schools that are performing so well. I feel really lucky that my children attend a superb East Riding School. Do not make them struggle as it will make it more difficult to carry on the good work.

Our children are the future and their education need protecting and improving, not cutting

Children are our future. Why kill their chances before they get started. The teachers are already under extreme pressure. Maddness

Put a stop to this unfair funding. Children in the East Riding don't deserve it.

they should be putting more money in not less, these children are our future and we need to invest surly.

Disastrous for local schools: bound to result in a serious reduction in standards in the future.

The East Riding have suffered poor funding for years, being in the bottom four. This new formula was going to correct this unfair imbalance. Pupils in Beverley don't deserve this.

Cut the funding further from our already underfunded Authority? What a bright idea :-/

No matter how the funds are shuffled around the country there is not enough for a growing school population. It is a con. There's no magic in this circle!

I object to cuts in funding of Education in East Yorkshire.. our young people will suffer in the long term. Already there is no funding for training and young learners miss out.

We need to be giving more funding to Beverley schools, not taking it away! Very worried about the impact on our young people!

I object to cuts in funding. Educating our young people should be a top priority in this country.

Schools are a long term investment in our future, our health, our ability to export and grow. Our diversity and ambition starts with what we are influenced by at school.

This proposal of cutting school funding is ridiculous. They are already stretched to the nth degree. Children are struggling and need more support, not less!!!
