We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to not consider the withdrawal of any amount of government funding from the higher education sector and instead invest in universities as a strategy for economic recovery from the recession. We further petition the Prime Minister to not allow an increase in tuition fees and instead consider more progressive alternatives such as a graduate tax advocated by the NUS.
I am honestly stunned to see how many people have joined this effort since I first put it up. We are nearly at five hundred signatures which is a testament to your passion rather than anything I did. If you have a moment today please help us reach that milestone so we can show those in charge that this really matters to our community.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. It is clear that this issue resonates far beyond what I initially imagined and the credit belongs entirely to you for keeping this conversation alive.

Seeing the count climb toward one hundred names is truly overwhelming and I never imagined this would get so much attention. If you could take a moment to pass this along to someone else it would help us reach that next milestone before we present our case.

Enough is enough. Students are already drowning in debt and this is just gonna make it impossible for normal people to go to uni.
