There is a planning board meeting in Toms River scheduled for December 5, 2018 at 6pm. First on the agenda is Cox Cro Crossing. If you are unable to attend, PLEASE sign this petition so that we may bring it along as we RISE UP to prevent this travesty.
Cox Cro Crossing, a proposed mixed use (retail, offices, apartments) complex would be located in close proximity to Cox Cro Road and Route 9 intersection. The project includes two 3 story apartment buildings (42 apartments) and two 2 story buildings, retail and ground level, offices on the second level. The lot is currently wooded, those woods would need to be completely removed.
This project requires a number of variances the most objectionable being a request to reduce the required acreage from 20 to 10. Secondarily, three story buildings simply do not belong in this part of Toms River.
As it is, the intersection of Cox Cro Road and Route 9 is already overwhelming, the thought of bringing additional traffic, housing and commerce is objectionable and we the petitioners do hereby request that the planning board reject this proposal.

The are already to many accidents on Cox Crow Road and Whitesville. With an entrance to Joseph Citta School near by, this not a good idea to build this development on Cox Crow and Rt. 9.
The over development of Toms River has to end. Instead of leveling trees and taking away the open land, we should be curbing new building as there are countless vacant storefronts already available. Focus on fixing the problem instead of creating new future hardships.
1)A resident would never be granted this large of a variance; 2) this sets a dangerous precedent for future variance approvals; 3) the circle is too small and too close to residential units to accommodate this level of traffic
I live adjascent to these woods. Which is housing many of the animals that have been forced out of all the surrounding woods that have recently been destroyed. Turkeys wandering Route 9 - never in my 40 years in Toms River have I witnessed this before all this construction in northern Toms River.
No, what good is zoning if all you have to do is get a variance? Will a traffic study be done? Water run-off plan? The needs of the area (traffic, utilities, schools, parks, etc )and what it can support should come before any variances....
I oppose this as the traffic and quality of life in our area is already being impacted by current changes already occurring congested area.
There has already been a ton of residential areas built in the past 5 years within half a mile of this spot! Too much traffic will bring down the current quality of life for the residents!

We can hardly pull out of Walden Woods onto Whitesville anymore. Can't imagine what MORE construction , building and traffic will do to this area. The congestion is ALREADY HORRENDOUS.
