Please Sign the Petition to Stop Semi-Truck and Trailer Parking in Kingdom Heights

Semi-truck and trailer parking is creating serious safety and quality-of-life concerns for all residents. These oversized vehicles not only affect the appearance of our community but also block access for emergency responders, putting everyone at risk.

We are requesting that the County enforce towing regulations within Kingdom Heights to ensure our neighborhood remains safe, accessible, and enjoyable for all.

Your support is vital—please add your signature today! We need 25% of residents to sign this petition and it will be presented to Fort Bend County Commissioners Court.

Texas Transportation Code Section 541.201. (b) Except as provided by Subsection (b-1), after 10 p.m. and before 6 a.m., a person may not park a commercial motor vehicle or leave the vehicle parked on a street that is maintained by a county or municipality and for which signs are posted as provided by Subsection (c) if the street:

(1) is located within a residential subdivision; or

(2) is adjacent to a residential subdivision and within 1,000 feet of the property line of a residence, school, place of worship, or park.

I'd also say they block access to fire hydrants. And remove space for others that could use it when they need a delivery or temporary spot for their vehicles, guests, etc.

We’re looking like a truck stop and a commercial parking garage for several companies , and we are dodging around, vehicles, parked on the street inside curbs because some neighbors have large commercial vehicles on their driveway and place their cars on the street blocking the view of oncoming traffic. The parking on the streets is becoming dangerous. I’m just afraid one day there’s gonna be a serious wreck here. There are storage places to park these trucks in semi in commercial vans rather than trying to use their neighborhood as parking storage!!

Wembley way resident, 8 years. No semis in the neighborhood. This is absurd that it requires a petition when it’s common sense. We’ve got babies in this neighborhood. It’s dangerous to have that type of vehicle frequently in the neighborhood- especially off one of the 2 main entrances. Much to speak of the dangers of any transient traffic- especially at times like those we find ourselves in now. Signing on behalf of my family and my neighbors. No semi trucks in kingdom heights. Thanks.

Whilst I applaud the arduous work and the contributions of the transportation industry. It’s also paramount that the operators of these large equipments deem it fit to negotiate with the several parking places within reasonable distance of our community. This prevents defacing and compromising safety in the areas. We have kids riding bikes and the size of these equipments can obstruct vision and cause unnecessary mishaps.

For clarity the vehicles being addressed in this petition are already restricted from parking overnight in a community like this if signage is in place that properly notifies the vehicle operator. This petition is to the county court to allow this signage to be put in place. This should have been made more obvious in the language for the petition

I don’t live in a commercial zone. We shouldn’t even have to sign this when it clearly states in our HOA that no commercial vehicles parked in the neighborhood.
