Residents of Rose Hills strongly oppose the proposed project “Onyx32”. This is a gross violation of hillside zoning ordinances and violates hillside development policies in the Northeast Community Plan. Residents oppose current MND and request an Environmental Impact Report! Largest proposed development ever presented in East Los Angeles for a hillside. Projects will bring additional 70+ cars daily on one-lane streets. Project for 32 homes will cause construction for many years. Residents will lose street parking. Our streets are not wide enough for this project. Will cause loss of habitat and cultural sites. We request Gabrieleño Sacred Land consultation.
Los residentes de Rose Hills se oponen firmemente al proyecto propuesto "Onyx32". Esta es una violación grave de las ordenanzas de zonificación de laderas y viola las políticas de desarrollo de laderas en el Plan Comunitario del Nordeste. ¡Los residentes se oponen al MND actual y solicitan un Informe de Impacto Ambiental! El desarrollo propuesto más grande jamás presentado en el este de Los Ángeles para una ladera. Los proyectos traerán más de 70 autos adicionales diariamente en calles de un solo carril. El proyecto para 32 viviendas provocará la construcción durante muchos años. Los residentes perderán el estacionamiento en la calle. Nuestras calles no son lo suficientemente anchas para este proyecto. Causará pérdida de hábitat y sitios culturales. Solicitamos la consulta de Tierra Sagrada Gabrielino.

This is not only a dangerous proposal but an unsightly one. This neighborhood does not need these 32 houses that the area cannot afford. Lincoln Heights and Flat Top do not need to be gentrified. There is culture and diversity there that defines the city of Los Angeles. The land cannot hold the houses.
Dangerous due to narrow streets already for emergency vehicles, and unneeded! No luxury housing for the elite that destroys habitat for nature and open space for people. No more luxury housing while people are unhoused in our city during a pandemic.
This is rare pristine habitat I’m an underserved community. It would be detrimental to the community to overdevelop this land.
This project data’s nothing about safe streets and pedestrian access, only road-widening for vehicular access. We the residents of Rose Hills deserve safe, walkable streets.
This will create traffic congestion on a daily basis. If there was ever an emergency situation, most of the residents would be trapped due to current capacity, damaged narrow roads, and existing over populated parking problem.

Improve, don’t destroy green space for current residents! Because in the long term this development will ultimately displace not only nature but community members as well.
