Cable news these days is alarming, polarizing and divisive. Please don't force this on to the many different kinds of people that are merely in your building to work.
We ask that the channel be changed to something more neutral — we'd be happy with no news or even to lose the TVs entirely.
The feedback I have received confirms that many of you find the constant presence of cable news in the lobby to be a source of unnecessary stress. I am currently preparing a formal request to building management to explore more neutral programming options for our shared space.

The reception to this petition confirms that many others share the desire for a calmer environment in the Harwood Center lobby. This momentum demonstrates how widely felt the need for a neutral space truly is.

I'm down with sports, weather, food....old reruns of 80's/90's sitcoms. Just no more politics please.

Agreed - my constant commute between elevator banks often comes with a very disturbing news story. I don't like it.

Fixer Upper or Ancient Aliens will please 99% of the population.
