Dear Journalists and Media Producers,

Enough is enough. Yes, there’s a perverse fascination in watching the degradation of American political discourse with each inane, provocative statement by Sarah Palin, but her comments, activities, and family are NOT NEWS and we are asking you to stop covering them. The media’s obsession with Palin -- for instance, the NY Times Magazine’ recent, uncritical article about her political staff – gives her undeserved legitimacy while cheapening the media. Obviously there are any number of far more important stories that could be covered instead on any day.

Charles Blow says it best. Palin is “dim, hollow, and mean”, which is how the left likes to see the right, and asks readers to boycott the coverage, to “get over it”.

Please sign below to ask legitimate news media (the NY Times, Washington Post, Huffington Post, MSNBC, Slate, Politico, Time, etc.) to stop publicizing Sarah Palin unless she makes some actual news.

The news cycle is a joke. Stop giving airtime to people who just want to stir the pot and stay relevant. Turn off the cameras please.
