We the undersigned oppose any language or modifications in the Port Master Plan Update (PMPU) that would allow for any additional hotel rooms to be built on the Port owned lands of Coronado including the Cays. Our town cannot support such development.

The scale of this response confirms that our position on the Port Master Plan Update has gained significant traction. I am now coordinating with local planning experts to formalize our opposition for the upcoming commission review.

A hotel on Grand Caribe Isle is out of the question. Coronado is sold out. There is not room for one more person or vehicle within the city limits. It would be reckless and irresponsible for the Port to consider approving competition for longtime tenant Loews Resort.
If this Hotel had an independent entrance from the strand, it would be a different story, but driving through the Cays streets to get to the hotel, would ruin the whole residential concept for what we bought here.
The traffic in Coronado is unbearable Now!! Please reconsider the Year Round Resident’s and Our Quality of Life, here in Coronado. Forcing more traffic and High Rise Hotels is specifically for MONETARY and TOURIST satisfaction.
Please, no new hotels. Continue environmental stewardship by maintaining the open space and keeping the air space vacant. What about a dog park or a separate bike lane to draw in people. The stores need updating but can still be one story tall.
We don’t need an additional hotel in Coronado as there isn’t enough parking. The city is too densely populated now. And the potential environmental pollution of too many people, cars will not help with our carbon foot print. Put a park and trees there to save open spaces and the environment.
Pretty drawings do not make a sound business proposal for the Cays. We already have a fine hotel-Loews: we all should support Loews at this difficult time.

Our small town cannot handle any more large additions! Our infrastructure cannot handle it! Our sewer system cannot handle it! Our residents cannot handle it and our quality of life should not be compromised!
