Save the landing for people who want to enjoy the bay, the beach and the water. You can build hotels and business offices in other places. DON'T DESTROY THE PEOPLE'S RIGHT TO ACCESS THE BAY!!

There is no need for another hotel in Coronado. The port doesn’t need any more money at the expense of taxpayers. The bay front can best serve the public with more parks and grass and less construction.

I oppose this.
We would not have bought a home in the Cays had we known it would not remain a solely residential area. Aside from the commercial atmosphere and parking problems a hotel would cause, there would surely be environmental issues, as well. Has an EIS been completed? Does the zoning allow commercial properties of this size? What about the impact on the sewer infrastructure, increased traffic both within the Cays and on the Strand, more noise, and greater number of transient people? If the hotel is approved for guests staying less than 26 nights, then I would expect that residential Cays homeowners should also be able to rent their units for less than 26 nights.
A further concern would be the safety of children riding their bikes and skateboards, and the worry about hotel guests roaming the neighborhood.
I'm wondering, also, what this would do to our property values, and whether high-density commercial zoning in a residential neighborhood would result in higher crime rates, including robbery and assault.
Each year, the Village experiences a greater number of people and vehicles to the extent that the Cays has become a refuge from the traffic and noise. Please don't turn the Cays into the Village.

I am against a hotel on Grand Caribe Cswy. The Cays are a residential community that will be severely impacted by the traffic and noise of a hotel development.
