The Parish Council want to build a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) on a the Practice Pitch in the playing fields. The MUGA will be 38m x 18m (7,300sq ft) and surrounded by a 3 m fence and the practice pitch will be lost. The Parish Council do not need planning permission for this, despite it being built in the conservation area, so there has been no opportunity for the community to consider the effect of this huge development on a sensitive part of the playing fields.
The Parish Council have already been refused a "Certificate of Lawful Development" by TVBC meaning they will need full planning permission but have publicly stated that they will be ignoring this decision andproceeding with the development anyway at the end of August. They have made a second application for a "Certificate of Lawful Development" which will not be decided until after development has started.
Many people in the community do not want this to go ahead in this location. Please support us in stopping the destruction of part of our historic community.

The Parish Council continues to bypass established planning procedures despite previous rulings against their chosen approach. We are currently evaluating our legal options to ensure the conservation area remains protected from this unsuitable development.

The momentum behind this petition highlights how much our community values the preservation of the practice pitch. It is clear that many residents are concerned about the Parish Council moving forward without proper oversight.

Keep the pitch as it is. We dont need a huge cage right in the middle of our conservation area. Seems like nobody asked the people who actually live here.
This is a massive eyesore for the village. Why are they ignoring the council rules? Ridiculous.
