Many of us at American Preparatory Academy believe that this newly instituted "Scholar Academy" is a waste of our much needed study hall time and teaches nothing new to those of us who have been at this school before. The aim of this petition is to put an end to "Scholar Academy" by acquiring the vote of the majority of secondary students participating in "Scholar Academy" as well as any votes from teachers and definitely parents.

I strongly feel that Scholar Academy is a waste of my time. Yes, it teaches very good habits, but most of the ninth graders have already developed them. It is a stress to me and it wastes my study hall time. Scholar Academy is busy work. We as students of APA don't have time for busy work since we are already consumed by real work that will help us learn and grow. At first, I gave Scholar Academy a chance, but I have learned nothing. I suggest that you either give us less homework so we have more time for Scholar Academy or get rid of Scholar Academy so we have more time for homework. I appreciate APA for trying to help me become a better student, but I already am a good student. Why am I being punished for following the rules? Just think about it.
I'm not going to hold back my opinion anymore. I believe that scholar academy should be removed, or at the very least, replaced. I must say that I am impressed with most of you. When I first saw this petition, I scoffed. But after I read your comments, I realized that you all had valid arguments. I will gladly sign this petition, though I think it's important to realize that, just as Abi said, scholar academy is about to end anyway.
I have to get all my missing work in by Friday or I can't go hunting this weekend and their teaching us how to use time wisely from what I've learned this is a huge waste of time

These skills we have not only been taught but they teach this in our Ambassador Events that we have to stay after school for.

While it does teach good skills, the majority of us already have them, and so scholar academy wastes time and gives homework in a time that should be used for homework, making it completely counterproductive. If someone's failing let them take it, but don't punish everyone else.
