Urge City of Orland elected officials to protect all Orland citizens by not allowing medical dispensary businesses in Orland. Concerned Citizens of Orland value healthy living, public safety, and the protection of our youth. While legitimate medical marijuana businesses may be beneficial to some, they are not in the best interest of the majority. And while some revenue would be generated, we are not willing to put a dollar value on the health and safety of our community. We do not want Orland to be a hub in the North State for this type of business.

I have been hearing from so many of you who worry about the impact these businesses will have on our children. My own family moved here for the quiet safety of this town and I feel the weight of our shared responsibility to preserve that environment.

Please consider the damage that would be done to our beautiful city. No amount of income that would generate from this will overcome the damage you will create . For those of us who have worked so hard to create a strong community through programs such as 4-H, Jr Rodeo and being involved in our school programs and at our church. You would destroy all of our hard work!
while I don;t live in the city limits, Orland is still my town and we do not need a marijuana dispensary.
It will be the foot in the door for anyone to purchase it much like alcohol. Too tempting for youth to acquire from careless adult.
I'm not in favor of the dispensary in Orland.
I agree with the comments below - I don't think it would be a good direction for Orland to go at this time.
I'm signing this petition standing with many concerned about the welfare of our children. I do not believe that a dispensary for medical marijuana will be in the best interest of our community.
No worth the long term negative effects it will have on our town and youth.

I have lived in Orland since 1980 and appreciate the many new businesses we have accepted. However, this is one business that would be a detriment to our community by drawing in the wrong elements into our city. Why in Orland? How many of our "citizens" really need this? Please do not be enticed and deceived with the promise of extra revenue!
