I have lived in Orland since 1980 and appreciate the many new businesses we have accepted. However, this is one business that would be a detriment to our community by drawing in the wrong elements into our city. Why in Orland? How many of our "citizens" really need this? Please do not be enticed and deceived with the promise of extra revenue!

while I don;t live in the city limits, Orland is still my town and we do not need a marijuana dispensary.

It will be the foot in the door for anyone to purchase it much like alcohol. Too tempting for youth to acquire from careless adult.

Please consider the damage that would be done to our beautiful city. No amount of income that would generate from this will overcome the damage you will create . For those of us who have worked so hard to create a strong community through programs such as 4-H, Jr Rodeo and being involved in our school programs and at our church. You would destroy all of our hard work!

I agree with the comments below - I don't think it would be a good direction for Orland to go at this time.

I'm signing this petition standing with many concerned about the welfare of our children. I do not believe that a dispensary for medical marijuana will be in the best interest of our community.

No worth the long term negative effects it will have on our town and youth.

I hear "friends" talk about their marijuana use at school and I believe this would just increase youth access.

While I understand it is beneficial to some, I believe that it could cause more harm than good in a town of our size.

Please don't allow this in our town.

Many provisions of the three CA bills (especially involving Licensing) won't even be in effect until January 1, 2018. What is the rush? Let all Orland citizens be fully aware & informed of all the ramifications.
Please keep my child, community and health a priority!!

Orland City Council, please do not act against the recommendation of the planning commission. This is not what Orland needs. Please take the time to do more research, and protect your community.
