I heard you are wanting to make the school year longer. Well, I am concerned about that. I think making the school year longer is not the right thing to do. Think about it...... it will shorten the summer for kids, and they wont get a lot of time to do camps, watch television, or relax! I do get that it will give children more time to learn new concepts, but they will have less time to have fun, and chill out. I like the school year currently, because we do still learn a lot of stuff, but also we have a good period of time to just relax, and have fun. We also get to do more fun camps. Such as dance camp, or cooking camp. Also in camps you learn new things! Making the school year a month longer will just push all of these fun things to a smaller amount of time. Also you have less time to do all the fun stuff you want! Pushing the school year a MONTH longer will not give you a good period of time to do all these fun stuff. I do not agree with this idea. That is why I believe that we should not go through with this idea.
