No Gas Station at Corner of La Pata & Vista Hermosa

Dear Kathy Ward, Chris Duncan, Gene James, Steve Knoblock & Laura Ferguson - We are residents of San Clemente and we do NOT WANT a gas station/car wash at the corner of La Pata and Vista Hermosa. A gas station/car wash will have a destructive effect on the quality of life in N.E. San Clemente and Talega -- now and for generations to come. We thus ask that you vote "no" on the gas station proposals and reopen the proposal process. Members of the group "La Pata Coalition" and others plan on soliciting better bids than were previously procured by CBRE. Our proposals will generate revenue and add to our beautiful community's quality of life.

I am not in favor of a gas station. With the growth of EV’s, it’s the last thing we should be spending tax dollars on. Let’s find something that better complements the community and the sports park.
Don’t want don’t need a gas station traffic is bad enough that corner has had way too many accidents. People race down LaPata having cars stopping to turn into a gas station is a disaster waiting to happen
It will be very ugly...... we already have a ton of gas stations, Starbucks and convenience stores in this town. I have lived here almost 40 years and one of the things that attracted me to San Clemente is we were not a Laguna Niguel or Irvine with a gas station and Starbucks on every corner! We need to maintain our beautiful Spanish village by the sea and that does not mean and ugly gas station when there’s one just down the street. No Gas Station PLEASE!
A gas station at the corner of La Pata and Hermosa would ruin the character of the surrounding residential areas and lower them property values. I strongly oppose this idea.
Please no unnecessary gas station or “commercial entity that could be deemed as a boring franchise development for the gateway to San Clemente and Talega. It would be very “pedestrian” and would lack creativity and foresight. San Clemente could do better than that. Have some vision, please and developer a unique, artisan, creative venue. Sorry, but a gas station doesn’t fit the bill or get my vote. Thank you.
We already have 3 empty lots from previous gas stations. PLEASE don't leave another one for our grandkids.
The last thing SC needs is another gas station to take up space! Wake up San by Clemente!!

We have plenty of gas stations/car washes in quite accessible to Talega. I’ve seen many better suggestions for the property with lovely landscaping with both indoor and outdoor enjoyment from a restaurant and even live music venue.Almost anything could be better than another gas station ... especially in the advent of future non gas automobiles.
