Circle K at the Shell station (49th and Pennsylvania Streets) has plans to eliminate Ty's Auto Service and Repair and to replace it with a convenience store. This is to petition Circle K to keep Ty and to not put in the convenience store. Convenience stores are magnets for crime (shop lifting and holdups), loitering, and added congestion.

Our petition is approaching one hundred signatures which marks a significant milestone in our effort to preserve Ty's Auto Service. Please direct others to this page so that we reach this goal before our upcoming outreach to company leadership.

A larger store doesn't fit in our historic neighborhood...close to home, quality service for our vehicles is the only 'convenience' locals want.
We love Ty and we NEED him. We are losing gas stations with service. The Meridian Kessler neighborhood depends on him and formerly depended on his father. This small corner would not keep the same sweet ambiance that it has now with an impersonal convenience store. Please listen to us!
We will no longed do business with Shell if this convenience store is opened. Ty is an asset to our neighborhood and he cares about his customers. This is just another example of corporate greed and lack of concern for the community in which it operates.
"convenience" store is a nefarious branding descriptor. It would be a Nuisance store w/ increased littering and blight on the neighborhood streetscape. This profit-maximizing corporation has no social conscience. Replacing a valued neighborhood-serving use with a junk food and plastic wrapper store. A threat and affront to our neighborhood quality of life.
Ty’s auto repair has been a significant auto resource for the Meridian-Kessler area for years. Nowhere else in the immediate area can we get help when things go wrong with our cars. Ty has been a steady and reliable service provider.
Please let Ty and his garage remain where they are...off the beaten path...and it is off the beaten path. I forgot about this example: I took our propane tank up to Sullivan's Hardware (across the street) a few years ago to replace it for a full one. The whole cage thing was empty. I went inside and the kids said the propane company always forgot them because they were off the beaten path. It just doesn't seem like a convenience store at this location will have the visibility it needs to succeed.
Keep Ty’s. It has been a neighborhood fixture, he has been an honest neighbor and the area does not need a convenience store there. I won’t support it.

Ty has been an honest person regarding automotive repairs. Eliminating a businessman like him for the pursuit of cigarette and beer sales will say a lot about the culture and priorities of Circle K.
