The stories people are sharing about their own struggles during those years have been heavy to read through. I am currently compiling a report to send to the treasury to show exactly why public funds should not be used for this purpose.

Seeing this level of support confirms that so many of you still feel the sting of those years just as deeply as I do. The momentum behind this shows that we refuse to let our collective resources be used to celebrate a legacy that left so many of us behind.

Don't spend my money on this. Not a penny.
Absolute joke that we are expected to foot the bill for this. Use the money for the NHS instead.
So many people are struggling to put food on the table and she gets a golden send off on our dime. Disgusting.
If her supporters want to pay for a parade they can reach into their own pockets. Leave my taxes out of it.

Never again. Divided the country and destroyed so many communities. Why should I pay to celebrate that??
